Public Affairs Foundation | Bangalore

Services

To maximise the Foundation's resources and leverage its strengths, its portfolio of services are divided into three functional categories:

Consulting and Advisory Services

Civil society groups and public agencies requiring advice and technical support to improve governance can be assisted by one or more experts in the setting in which the work is to be carried out. The key areas in which such support can be provided at present are the design and launching of citizen report cards on public services, innovative adaptations of the Report Card approach to specific sectors like irrigation, e-governance, etc., the tailoring of the Fund-Based Accounting System to specific agency needs, and advice on advocacy campaigns. The range of advisory services is expected to expand over time.

Capacity Building

Civil society organisations and government agencies may need to strengthen their internal capabilities before they get organised to use the tools, approaches and advisory services available with the Foundation. In such cases, the Foundation will organise customised workshops, internships and other development opportunities for teams staff deputized by these organisations. Such training and development activities may be organised at the client organisations themselves or at the Foundation's facilities in Bangalore.

Knowledge Products

The Foundation will continue to draw on the research and development of PAC and other institutions and generate relevant knowledge products focused on good governance for interested clients. These products might include publications, survey instruments, methodologies, software, manuals, and specialised outputs tailor-made for individual clients.
