World Bank, KUIDFC and KUWSDB - Karnataka Urban Water Sector Improvement Project
PAF was selected by World Bank to conduct a Citizen Report Card on the service usage of 24/7 water supply in three districts of Hubli-Dharwad, Belgaum and Gulbarga in Karnataka. The study objective is to understand and measure the social and economic implications of 24/7 water supply on the users. The PAF team is currently on a scoping mission to these districts.
Socio-Economic Survey of Devraj Urs Market in Mysore
PAF recently submitted a study report to the Commissioner, Mysore City Corporation. The study was conducted with an objective to understand the shop keepers preparedness for the renovation of the market under UNESCO heritage site development program.

PAF submitted the final report to the Tanzania Social Action Fund [TASAF]
Technical support to VSO for disability specific CRC in Jharkhand and Orissa
VSO (an International NGO with a vision to alleviate poverty and exclusion) sought PAF support for conducting disability specific CRC in two states of Jharkhand and Orissa. The CRC was focussed on the services of Education and NREGA in selected districts of the two states. PAF’s role was to orient and train the VSO partners in Citizen Report Card methodology, provide technical support in preparation of data collection tool, data analysis and report writing.
Citizen Report Card on Public Services in Mysore City
PAF submitted the CRC report to the Commissioner. A presentation of the findings was made to a gathering of MCC officials as well as elected representatives.
Community Score Card on the services of Education and Health in Tanzania
PAF submitted the final report on the Community Score Card project conducted across 20 Villages in Tanzania to TASAF. A second round of the Community Score cards will be carried out once reforms are put in place to address the issues brought out by the first round.

Dr. Sita Sekhar and TS Prasad presented the CRC findings at a workshop conducted by the Regional Administration and Local Government Department of the Prime Minister’s Office in Dar-Es-Salaam. The findings were well accepted. PAF team was honoured for bringing out a technically sound and impartial report. (please see the news clippings in photo gallery section).

Dr. Sita Sekhar conducted training programme on CRC for International Budget Partnership (IBP) partners in Arusha, Tanzania.
Dr. Sita Sekhar was invited as an expert in Citizen Report Card methodology to conduct a training programme for International Budget Partnership partners on using Citizen Report Card methodology to monitor budget implementation.
Dr Sita Sekhar visited National Roma Centrum in Kumanovo, Macedonia at the invitation of Open society Foundation.
Dr Sita Sekhar visited NRC in Kumanovo to assess their capability to conduct a CRC on health services for Roma people and to assist them in developing a proposal for the same.

UNICEF Internship – A Case study on Success of Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) in Bangalore Rural District
A four member team of UNICEF interns are documenting a case study on the success of Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) in Bangalore Rural District. The study objective is to determine effect of household behaviour determinants and the patterns in the successful implementation of the TSC campaign. The team has finished the field work and is currently writing the report.
PAF is co-ordinating the field work and advising interns on research aspects of the case study.
